The revolution in the world is happening

Nepal's First Woman President Bidhya D. B
UK Prime Minister Theresa May//#

Recently women have been making the history in the world. Nepal has played an exemplary role in the world, giving the top three
positions to the women.  Onsari Gharti Magar who was the leader of Unified CPN-Maoist and was a former deputy speaker became the first women Speaker of the Legislature- Parliament makes the parliamentary history.  Gharti was one of the fighters who went underground during the state of emergency period. She had begun her political journey from the student wing of the CPN (Unity Centre). Gharti became the Constituent Assembly member from a proportional representative system in the first CA of Nepal and she was elected directly from Rolpa during the second CA and elected Deputy Speaker later on.

Nepal’s parliament elected Bidhya Devi Bhandari as the first
President of Nepal breaking the tradition and making the history as the first woman president of Nepal. Ms. Bhandari was the defense minister for the period of 2009 to 2011 and she is the CPN-UML vice chair. She has been active in the politic after her husband Madan Bhandari was killed in the mysterious car crash. She is one of the women leaders who helped to ensure a one-third quota for women in the parliament.

Nepal made another big history appointing the first woman chief justice. Sushila Karki  became the first woman chief justice of Nepal. Karki has completed her Master in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University. Karki was recommended by the constitutional council headed by prime minister KP Oli for the post of Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Nepal. She is known for her zero tolerance against corruption in the judiciary.

In the United Kingdom, Theresa May has become the second female Prim Minister following the resignation of David Cameron on June 24, 2016. She is the leader of a new conservative party. The 59-year-old home secretary’s image of political steadiness and unflappability develops to have made her the right person at the right time as the outcome of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.
Margaret Thatcher was the first female Prime Minister of United Kingdom who served from 1979 until 1990. She was known as the “Iron Lady” as her nickname who opposed Soviet communism and fought a war to maintain control of the Falkland Islands. She became the longest serving British prime minister who was eventually pressured to resign by members of her own Conservative Party.

In the US Hillary Clinton has made a history, becoming the first presidential nominee of a major political party of United State. She is one of the most powerful women in the world. She has already served this country being the first lady, senator and Secretary of the State. She will make another history, becoming the first woman president of the United State.

This is how the revolution in the world is happening. Women are taking the most powerful positions challenging their male counterparts. They are proving that women are also qualified to handle the responsibilities of any kind and they are not only someone who are kept inside the house for the purpose of use but they can make the decision to make something difference in the world. It has created the hope for today’s young age of the girl; it has inspired them for their future. They can dream to be the future president of United Kingdom, United States and can take any of the challenging positions in the world.
