Indira Ranamagar, a ray of hope for thousands of children and mother of numerous children, says that she has become the mother of forerunner of the future by overcoming various challenges due to her self-confidence, courage and grace.

During her visit to the United States, Ranamagar, President of Prisoners Assistant Nepal ( PA) made the remarks while answering various queries of the participants. The program was organized by the Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Nepal in America (FIPNA). Ranamagar has been a mother of thousands of children who have been imprisoned for various reasons for over three decades and has been a wonderful mother for their bright future.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana Magar said that she has been subjected to various forms of discrimination since childhood due to her being a woman. Influenced by the writer Parijat, she has started to serve the people in prison. She shared the bitter truth that her marital relationship ended because she supported helpless children without parents. While walking out with Parijat, she could not see the painful condition of the inmates and started supporting them unconditionally by giving them bath and cutting their nails. Ranamagar, who has been running 12 children home, two schools and four daycares since then, has been rewarded with various international awards.
She says, with the intent of her heart, she has received support from various donors for her project. She also explained her dissatisfaction with the ruling government of Nepal. She believes that leadership is possible only through love, affection, and respect for each other. She says, "Mother is the great leader of this world because only the mother’s love is selfless”.
In the program, Bishnu Maya Parivar, a social activist, shared her heartbreaking and emotional experience since she has visited her children home in person. During that time the founder and VP of the Federation of Indigenous Women of Nepal in America (FIWNA) Indira Chongbang, President of Jirel Society America and former CA member Shanti Jirel, President of Tamang Society of America Chhemang Tamang, Social Entrepreneur Keshav Ram Rai, Deepak Chaudhary from Tharu and Friends Society and other organizations participants and individuals were present on the occasion. Each of them respectfully made their own inquiries as well as expressed their respect and gratitude towards her humanity.
The event was hosted by FIPNA’s general secretary Toma Lama. The speaker of the FIPNA, Subarna Shakya committed to work with Ranamanger on comings days and also wished her success on her days to come. Rajkumar Bista, the president of FIPNA appreciated for her challenging work during the COVD time and requested all the organizations to support the organization of Nepal who belongs to a real hero like Ranamagar. Bista also expressed his commitment to work together in the days to come and thanked all the participants before concluding the event formally.
