"The Art of Happiness"

Background

The art of happiness is a philosophy  of the Dalai Lama, who  sees that the purpose of life is to be happy. According to this philosophy regardless of what religion we believe, what job we do, whatever opinion each individual has but  we are always looking to be better and happier more

than whatever we have achieved in our lives. Lama has written a Book “ The Art of Happiness” where he states most of the time the purpose of the life is to be happy.

Source of happiness;

The source of happiness depends on each individual. Most often the source of happiness is inner peace and a state of mind. We cannot be happy even we are rich and we win the lottery, or we can diagnose with a great disease if we don’t have inner peace in mind. According to the Lama, the way of gaining the happiness is flipping our negative thought into the positive way of thinking. Thinking  negatively ruins our life and destroy our happiness that we could have deserved.

We are born in a certain state of mind and we have to find the happiness with a certain sense of contentment to feel happier without obtaining objects. We can be happier by finding the self-worth, self-dignity, compassion and affection within us which are the greatest source  of happiness.

We can train our mind finding the truth of what creates us happy except the physical objects. We have our own thoughts and believe and we can find the way of training every day. That could be either prayer, meditation, physical exercise or keeping the mind in peace for a while. We can dig it deep inside our mind if we practice and train ourselves Converting our anger, anxiety, hate and fear we can have our inner peace of mind. We have to convert those negative attitudes toward the love, compassion, and empathy toward the human being which create a great sense of living.

Value and benefits of happiness.

We have a wrong believe that we will be happy after succeeding in life. We try to achieve our goal and we think that which is a way of achieving the happiness. But according to this Art of happiness, happiness is the fundamental factor of success and it is a present which determines our future. Compassion provides the basis for human being. It is not related to the physical attachment but the compassion is related to the inner happiness. Feeling of compassion and loved has a strong power to have a profound quality of life.

Happiness has a great benefit in lives. According to the research, it builds a strong immune system that means it is directly connected the human being health and physical wellness. Happy people go to less hospital and suffer less from the disease than unhappy people. Happiness means positive emotions to the people, which is beneficial to keep on going the things in the right directions.

Happiness works to heal the stress, even though it is an inevitable entity in lives. Trying to be happy in life is beneficial to live the life of stress-free. The research also shows that happy people have fewer aches and pain than the people who are not happy.

Recommendations;

As said by Dalai Lama our purpose of living is to be happy in life. The way of becoming happy  depends on each individual. But we have to try to find the way of achieving the happiness without relating to physical substances. The happiness that is achieved by physical achievement is always temporary. Even our life is not permanent in this world, but finding the everlasting happiness should be the purpose of our life. Let's give the compassion, love, and empathy and let's dig them deep inside our heart. Giving them the place in our soul and heart remove the anger, anxiety, and feeling of the hate to the human being.

Removing all of the negative thinking from our mind will be the great ways of achieving the happiness. We have to find the lasting happiness that as said before can’t be obtained correlating with something or with someone.  We have to dwell in our soul, inside our heart spreading the seed of inner peace which trigger along with us until we live on this earth.
